Amanda Ishigo is a parent educator and has been helping families develop their personalized parenting paths for over 20 years. Amanda has offered therapeutic support to children and families in hospitals, the public school system, foster care and in early childhood centers. However, Amanda’s hardest and most rewarding work was when she became a parent herself 10 years ago. Amanda has two children and multiple nieces and nephews who continue to help her define her own personal parenting path.
Amanda graduated from the University of Idaho with an undergraduate degree in Child Development and Family Centered Care and an emphasis in Health. She later earned her graduate degree from Wheelock University in Child Life and Family Centered Care.
